Vida y obra Estudia en Dresde y Berlín en 1909-1914. Pinta retratos académicos para subsistir y otras obras de carácter expresionista. En 1918 realiza su primera obra abstracta. Vinculado con los dadaístas berlineses de 1918, regresó a Hannover en 1924, donde se estableció.
